Proximate composition, phenolic, and antioxidant properties of soursop fruit parts

Annona muricata L. (soursop fruit) is a seasonal plant with bio-geographical distribution in tropical and subtropical climates. This study evaluated the proximate, phenolic, antioxidant properties of different parts soursop fruit. The influence oven solar drying on phenolic activities extracts (pulp, seed, peel) were assessed. Proximate analysis fruit showed pulp to have high carbohydrate (32.9% ± 0.3) moisture (19.1% 1.0). seeds however contained higher crude fat (37.5% 1.2) protein (25.0% 0.1) contents. Total content (8.7 mgGAE g−1 was than that peel (8.6 0.1). solar-dried demonstrated superior activity oven-dried parts.
